  1. This is how Doom3 should have looked.
  2. One of my good friends was sitting in his car on a rather large suspension bridge a few years ago, stuck in traffic. An impatient truck driver behind him decided to use his rig as a battering ram and started pushing the cars ahead of him out of the way. He was moving slow enough that a few angry passengers were able to open his door and wrestle him out of the truck before any major damage could be done, but damn....that's crazy. I've driven over the bridge several times and it's about a 250 foot drop to the water below.
  3. Well, my macbook pro was stolen last week and insurance covers it, so with the money I'm going to get this laptop with an 8800M GTX when Sager starts pre-orders next week. Should be amazing It breaks the 10k mark for 3DMark scores with the 8800M. Weighs 12lbs, but hell, when will I be taking this thing to class? Let's take a poll. Should I get the 1080p lcd screen or just the regular 17"? It adds an extra $200.
  4. Wow. To think I've been around here since the days of Anarchy Designs. That makes it 7 years for me as well.
  5. I guess I forgot to mention it when I posted. The wheels on there are obviously not the originals for that car. They will be replaced either by Cragar SS Mags(a wheel that was popular on US muscle cars in the 60s) or 60-spoke wire wheels. As this isn't my car, I really don't have a say in it, although I'm hoping for the wire wheels as they fit the style better than Cragar Mags. The Cragar wheels were popular on muscle cars, and would go well on the 69 Firebird 400 convertible we're going to rebuild next summer. This car deserves wire wheels. Only problem is a set of 5(4 for the car plus a spare), the knockoffs, and the spindles will run about $1700-$1800, plus tires and tubes for the tires. Not exactly cheap.
  6. Well, my project for the past summer has been helping rebuild my best friend's 1961 Triumph TR3a. It isn't quite finished yet (these pics were taken earlier today...still needs rear lights, windshield, interior, and the engine needs retuned as we havent touched it in a month). I'll post a few more pics once it's drivable. Hopefully it'll have the Le Mans racing stripe and be drivable in about a month.
  7. It looks good. It almost looks like it could be a screen cap of one of those animated logo sequences at the beginning of a game. You know, the one where it shows a fancy game studio logo with lights flickering and stuff. Good work.
  8. Well, Klein's beach sand texture looks a little more themeish than zilla's ice cave wall, but that shield definitely pwns all. zilla = winnar!
  9. Valve can't afford to delay again or miss another scheduled release date. It'll be out in April.
  10. Damn, I'm tempted to buy BF1942 just to play that. Unfortunately, I don't have broadband just yet My only suggestion is to dirty up the player skins a little bit to make them seem a bit more like they live in the desert. Other than that' it's looking wonderful. GJ Posty and crew.
