You can try doing a soft install of winxp. Assuming it's a retail CD, you can just do a soft install that way, or just do a normal install(where the installer basically removes all of your user profiles, and the windows directory and every trace of windows... this doesn't remove any user files outside of the "Documents and Settings" folder or the windows folder). Then you can put the cd key back in... if you don't want to activate it, you don't have to since it gives you 30 days to activate it. Also, if you activate it over the phone, you'll get a confirmation number which you can use indefinately as well, as opposed to activating it online which keeps track how many times you have activated that particular product. This is also assuming you're using windows xp. Heh. If that fails, like everyone else said... put it into another computer. If you don't like that, try using knoppix and copying everything that way. Knoppix is great, and I use it for some of the same reasons you're having right now. It's basically an operating system that runs straight from the cd, so it doesn't take up any harddrive space at all. If you want to try this approach, head to knoppix.org and download an ISO.

Yeah, I really dislike RO right about now. The movement system sucks, so does shooting, so do a LOT of the maps... actually, most of it sucks.

I'm not. I'm not working on my RO map while I work on this one. I may not work on it again, now that I think about it.

Statics are from far.usx. Ol is helping me out with some new ones soon, hopefully, so we'll see how that goes. I'll make a red grass static so I can mix that in with the green grass. I also gotta find some really good stock photos of some japaense buildings and such, as there is jack shit for textures in the fareast texture package, so I must make my own. Anyway, thanks for the comments. Perhaps I'll continue this one.

env_model doesn't always work, in my experience. I've always had strange shit happening, like it generating leaks when the entire model is clearly inside the map. Or it sometimes being random with the directory structure demarkation ( aka "/" or "\"... sometimes it won't let you use both)... or it just won't show up. Or it'll give a yellow outline glow, but with no model. It's best to use a cycler, since they're basically made for showing models.
