  2. Those things still take time. Someone who plays maybe 4 hours a week will still be grinding reputation for months if not longer and it's not obvious where to find or get these items.
  3. mapcore guild \o/ /me ninja loots Pericolos0 Taylor, I can sort of understand where you are coming from. I'm one of those casual gamers who tends to grind and dance around in battlegrounds. While i welcome the new 5,10 man instances i still no that as a casual gamer i have no chance of ever getting uber gear, and this means i miss out on big parts of the game. I just don't have time to spend 30 hours with 40 people doing the same instance again and again.
  4. http://uk.gamespot.com/news/6176111.htm ... lk=topslot Few days old but meh. I've been meaning to get back into WoW again, maybe this will be the reason. It's just hard to find a decent group of people to play with who arent uber hardcore and understand i have a job :X.
  5. Haha shhh Nah, well not directly at least. We do stuff for ELSPA.
  6. http://maps.google.co.uk/maps/ms?ie=UTF ... 304688&z=2 intresting stuffs
  7. ING!~ Luka i will have to come out and vist you...it's a 2 hour trip or so from here. I require pictures of your new PAD~
  8. AO used to be for porn only, so any company assosiated with a AO title would get a bad rep. As porn evil and all that shit still. It's stupid really.
  9. It wont be, Sony and Nintendo both have the same policy on AO games.
  10. http://darkzero.co.uk/v4/games/news/12372 He proves for some awesome reading With some soon to be classics like... "Who was right about that kiddies?" "Take-Two has been hemorrhaging cash" and "Grow up and smell the hot coffee"
  11. http://www.360-gamer.com/news.asp?id=1111 After yesterday’s news that Manhunt 2 had been awarded an “AO” (Adults Only) rating by the American ESRB ratings board, Nintendo and Sony have both refused Rockstar permission to release the game on their platforms.
  12. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/pages/live/a ... ge_id=1770 Now that is taking it slightly to far... "'Vile' computer game using image of Bulger kidnap withdrawn from sale" Now thats sicker then manhunt that they actually waited on this. People will link it with Manhunt as well instead of Law and Order.
  13. You turn it off and get a refund if you don't like it...you don't have to watch rape or move pixels on a screen to create a badly computer generated rape scene Can't remember who said it but pedophilia isn't exactly the same...the kids kind of don't agree to have sex or understand whats going on. If you're 18 and buying an 18 rated game you have the ability to read the back of the box and judge for your self if it's something you want to play. PS. i've heard Rockstar have released a statment but i can't find it, anyone seen it around?
  14. Well Germany and Greece have stupidly strict rules. Wouldn't be surprised if France did as well . US, I'm not sure with games, but if we've banned it i wouldn't be surprised if it will helps people make a stand over there who want it banned. I'm sure Jack Thompson will appear soon. US do tend to edit more media for TV then we do here (film, comedy etc).
  15. Well England does have the most relaxed rules for this kind of thing. Manhunt 2 is a special case because of what happened with the first game. I don't believe for a second that's had no influence on this decision. I don't think not liking the game is a good enough reason to agree with the ban
  16. I have to admit i'm not a fan of the manhunt games as far as uber entertainment goes. But i do believe i should have the right to choose if i want to buy it or not. Otherwise i feel like i've wasted my time learning right from wrong if people will just pick for me. We all like different things. Just because a majority doesn't like it doesn't me we should ban it. Maybe they need to create a 21 age rating to cover such things. This game will now sell more because of this announcement...it's now become forbidden fruit. So who wants togo into business with me and import copies
  17. http://www.bbfc.co.uk/website/Classifie ... enDocument "When submitted to the BBFC the work had a running time of 34m 43s." Kind of interesting.
  18. http://www.mcvuk.com/news/27546/ELSPA-r ... anhunt-ban ELSPA responds to Manhunt banBen Parfitt Today, 12:30pm Director general Paul Jackson says BBFC's decision proves that the UK’s games rating system is ‘effective’ UK games trade body ELSPA has reacted to the news that the BBFC has banned Rockstar’s Manhunt 2 from sale in the UK by saying that it proves that current ratings system is working. Director general Paul Jackson stated: “A decision from the BBFC such as this demonstrates that we have a games ratings system in the UK that is effective. It shows it works and works well. “Any decision the BBFC takes, it takes on the basis of its remit to rate on screen entertainment. "The games industry is a creative phenomenon that produces all kinds of games across all kinds of genres that appeal to all kinds of people across the country, young and old, male and female. “The important thing to know is that all games are rated according to age suitability, with over 70 per cent of games being available to all ages over three years."
  19. I can't imagen it not coming out. They might just be strong words to please the video gaming hating media and to make it look like they are taking things seriously. Could Manhunt 2 really be much worse then the first one. What does intrested me is why Nintendo would let them make a Wii version.
  20. Ehh? They will cut out the parts that the BBFC have deemed to violent. I can't imagen Rockstar can afford to not release/sell the game.
  21. No, it will be released, It's the fact they want to censor an adult rated game.
  22. I'm rather shocked that you both accept this so easily.
  23. http://www.mcvuk.com/news/27545/BBFC-rejects-Manhunt-2 BBFC rejects Manhunt 2Ben Parfitt Today, 11:45am British Classification body rules Rockstar cannot release upcoming PS2 and Wii sequel in the UK With Take 2 already in turmoil following the recent company-wide restructuring, the group has been dealt another blow with the news that Rockstar’s upcoming sequel Manhunt 2 has been rejected by the BBFC, meaning it cannot legally be supplied anywhere in the UK. The only other game to ever be rejected by the body was Carmageddon in 1997, though that decision was overturned by the Video Appeals Committee. “Rejecting a work is a very serious action and one which we do not take lightly,” BBFC director David Cooke stated. “Where possible we try to consider cuts or, in the case of games, modifications which remove the material which contravenes the Board’s published Guidelines. “In the case of Manhunt 2 this has not been possible. Manhunt 2 is distinguishable from recent high-end video games by its unremitting bleakness and callousness of tone in an overall game context which constantly encourages visceral killing with exceptionally little alleviation or distancing. “There is sustained and cumulative casual sadism in the way in which these killings are committed, and encouraged, in the game. “Although the difference should not be exaggerated the fact of the game’s unrelenting focus on stalking and brutal slaying and the sheer lack of alternative pleasures on offer to the gamer, together with the different overall narrative context, contribute towards differentiating this submission from the original Manhunt game. “That work was classified ‘18’ in 2003, before the BBFC’s recent games research had been undertaken, but was already at the very top end of what the Board judged to be acceptable at that category. “Against this background, the Board’s carefully considered view is that to issue a certificate to Manhunt 2, on either platform, would involve a range of unjustifiable harm risks, to both adults and minors, within the terms of the Video Recordings Act, and accordingly that its availability, even if statutorily confined to adults, would be unacceptable to the public.”
