I played this a couple days ago. Level 4 is a good example of why the game as it was made is dumb. You start off in a position where you should clearly be able to go from the left panel to the right but you can't because it doesn't "match up" correctly. I can understand not being able to cross panels because there is a barrier (the black surface) but any space where blue touches blue you should be able to cross over otherwise it's even more gimmicky than it already is. Neat idea, bad implementation. edit: after playing a little more, level 6 is an even better example of the matching up problem I was talking about on level 4. Yeah, I get it, the designer wants you to play the puzzle his way but it doesn't make any sense from the player perspective why you can't cross over as long as there's clearance.

You know how secular people hate religious people because they force their morals down our throats, making things like gay marriage and abortion illegal? Well religious people hate that on Christmas us secular people 1) get paid for nothing 2) get massively drunk 3) worship false idols in the form of expensive gifts 4) get time off 5) get REALLY drunk and defecate on the steps of a funeral home at 4am. So take your time off whoever you are and enjoy it, exploit it and revel in it. Religion has taken so much from us, now after 2,000 years we get to be conspicuously debaucherous on one of the most holy days of the calendar. That said I find agnosticism and atheism to be equally as absurd and hilarious.

just like any genre there's plenty of horrible film noir.

just to throw a little flavor into the mix....perhaps you would be interested in the setar a different sound, cheaper (usually), and if you master it you'll be in high demand at your local Mosque or hookah lounge.

Is anyone else ever fascinated by people who enjoy bad movies? I'm not even talking like grindhouse or film noir, so bad it's good stuff but genuinely horrible film. I used to get annoyed or think I was better than people who like shitty movies but these days I almost want to understand whats going on in the brain of a person who can not only sit through a movie like gamer but give it a 4/5. I get the feeling that Mariatamis is young so that might be a big part of it but hot damn.

funny thing...I'm right in the middle of growing my own supreme size beard. my father had a huge beard like that special ops guy in his 20's. It's been a month now so I figure 2-3 more months tops and I can get it styled.

does wave make you create some kind of username or does it use your existing gmail account name? The latest google stuff has left me pretty meh. For example, I use google reader all the time and it's pretty much my first stop for internet content. That said if it disappeared tomorrow it would be an inconvenience but I could recover pretty quickly. I think google wave, while interesting and innovative, will be the same thing.

pirating software is an addiction. back in the day I would install the entire adobe suite including all the extensions and color correction programs just to have it. Even photoshop I only used maybe 3 times a year. I downloaded and installed dragon age 2 weeks ago but have yet to play it. I just like the satisfaction of reading threads about it, window+d, and bask in the satisfaction of the icon on my desktop.

Do you guys know of any article that chronicles the making of a popular commercial game from start to finish? What are common personnel titles, stages of development and timelines given for a game? Does it vary widely? How big is the average team? Are mappers expected to graduate to higher levels of development like story conception and direction or do you spend your careers within your niche trying to attain mapping nirvana? I know that every company will do things differently but I'm curious if there are procedures that you'll find across the board at every game studio.
