Exploring Unreal Engine 4 Scripting: Part One
FrieChamp commented on Sentura's article in Development
Thanks for the article, Sentura! Maybe Pampers would like to lead us deeper into the rabbit hole at the example of his soccer game? -

Baadaaaaasssss!!! Great job! -
I think this might deserve its own thread in the Work Release section

Don't look at it like you'd be doing the same internship twice. You've convinced them the first year that you are a valuable contributor and now you're going back to help some more. And think about how much you could actually learn and contribute in 4 months time: getting somebody integrated into the project/being productive takes time (especially on a junior level). That's probably why studios hardly hire interns - or only at least for a duration of 6 months... and think about the tasks you would then get assigned to : Eden already knows you and might give you more interesting assignments, so this does not sound like a bad option at all. Cheer up!

Regarding the very first picture: you posted a thread in the 3D section just a few days ago, asking if anybody knew the artist. Did you find the artist and team up or what's going on?

Keep up the good work, mayor!

That is....pretty damn awesome

Source has the weaker tools but games like CS:GO or TF2 provide the players to create maps for and bigger asset libraries for mappers to use - as of today. I'd still encourage everyone to check out what Epic is doing now though. Download the Epic Games launcher/UT or see the image below to see what I mean. Selling of user generated content for UE4 has already begun. The engine is free now and there is tons of good documentation. UT is in a playable state and ready to map or mod for. You can share complete games for free or sell weapon skins. UE might not have the player base yet, but when Epic is bringing in a lot of users (be it through UT, Fortnite or other titles), you could benefit greatly as an asset creator in a blue ocean (be it through sales or mere exposure of your work).

Feels like just yesterday Arrowhead released their take on 'Gauntlet', but here they are - launching 'Helldivers' for Playstation consoles. http://www.selectbutton.com/reviews/helldivers-review/ Looks really fun! Anybody giving this a try?

Just popping in to say that this map is looking promising and ask if you've seen 'Identitity'? http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0309698/?ref_=nv_sr_2 -
I watched the first 2 episodes and I'm loving it. Like in BB, the (more or less) innocent character that's desperately trying to make ends meet and is getting more and more corrupted can be seen here, too The cinematography is great - especially in the first episode. I'm hooked!

TBH I've never seen much point in pre-ordering. Too many games that just don't live up to the hype. By now it's a rare occasion that I buy a game on Day 1 actually. 2nd hand discounts that you mentioned and especially sales on Steam make me wait a few months and then get the game for a lot less nowadays. F2P games also have an effect on my perception of prices surely and I'm not saying all of this is a good thing, but it's how I feel and I'm probably not alone. The second point which might be interesting to discuss is if this is a warning flag for AAA developers on current consoles. The question of whether an SP game with that kind of production value is sustainable.

Do you wear a little skirt and a pair of pom poms, too?

A cool champion design for sure!

Quick! Add some ads now!

I'd take NS2 if that's still available!?

Holy Guacamole! How many are working on this? The whole of South Korea?

Sadly, not alot of networking session happening around in the local or even national community here for any Clique interaction. Maybe that in itself is an information that you could use in your pitch. Instead of focusing too much on whether the press kit should contain 10 or 12 screenshots or how many times you want to send out press releases, you should think about why the journalist should write about your game. Maybe game development in India and the team behind the game is a good hook? Maybe it's something else. Here's a summary of a presentation Mike Rose gave at GDC, which should provide to be helpful to you as well: http://www.gamasutra.com/view/news/198381/How_to_talk_to_the_video_game_press_in_2013.php

It is my impression that he is hunting that genetically engineered dinosaur in a pack of raptors. On his motorbike. With a straight face. Chris Pratt: Academy Award Winner 2016 for Best Dino Hunter - you heard it here first!

Looks silly which is right up my alley But can you hit anything with that spell mechanic when other players are NOT standing still?
-
Definitely. I feel like it's a little cluttered and I'm overwhelmed by the amount of projects. Removing old and/or small projects and/or categorizing by your role would help. I see you've got projects listed on your resume that lasted one or five days. I know you're trying to list as much experience as possible, but it might be hurting you in the end.

I'm also sensitive about noise levels at night, but living in a big city like London doesn't mean that every street is like Picadilly Circus
