That's a bit of a fallacy. Of course you have less opposition to muslimic immigration where a large amount of the voters already have a muslimic background. And even then the picture isn't as clear cut. When you take a closer look at the local voting results it shows that the right wing party actualy gets more votes in the more multicultural areas, contrary to what the left always preaches. The only exceptions are communities with a strong left wing alternative scene. In the western federal states it was particularey interesting that voters with migration background were more likely to vote AfD then ethnic Germans.
The whole "people in the east don't know muslims therefore they oppose muslims" is a huge misconception if you ask me. It has more to do with people comparing their mostly homogenous and peaceful communities with the often problem ridden multiculral communities in western cities. The wall has been down for 25 years. It's misguided to assume people in the east still live in their own little bubble with no contact and information from the outside world.
The AfD scored high in cities like Mannheim and Pforzheim but had a much lower success rate in cities like Stuttgart and Ludwighsafen - cities with even higher populations of immigrants. I wouldn't say that these cities have particularly strong left wing alternative scenes. About voters with migration backgrounds more likely to vote for AfD: I heard this was the case in Freiburg, but I am not aware that this is a common thing. What I do know is that the AfD got their most succesful election results in Sachsen Anhalt.
I guess what we can agree on is that clustering many immigrants in few areas doesn't help them getting integrated. This is why I find it cynical when people from areas with close-to-zero immigration rates argue that they don't want to take in ANY Muslims because they don't want their land of flowing milk and honey to turn into a ghetto. I believe if we scattered them more evenly, we would get less problems. And I believe as well that we cannot take in everyone, but what I am concerned with is that some of these "homogenous communities" tend to see any foreigner as an intruder that they have to "defend themselves" against, which sadly often turns into violence or this embarrassment of a political movement such as Pegida in Dresden.

How can you explain a muslim store owner being chopped to pieces by another muslims just because he twitted "happy easter to my catholic clients". Will you justify that with societal, economical and political reasons ? They are simply crazy. Its all about thier value system being different.
It's fucked up. The guy who killed him must be a religious fanatic and a lunatic. I hate these people. It's especially tragic, because the store owner seemed to be a caring, much-loved individual and well-respected by the community he was living in. But you do realize that the store owner was also Muslim, right? I mean, you mention it, but then you go on to call "all" Muslims crazy...
See, in Germany, the regions that are the most against immigration are the ones with the lowest population of Muslims. It's funny because if all Muslims were violent fanatics then you would think that their Christian and atheist neighbors would be the first to complain about them. But instead it's the people who are afraid of the foreign(ers). And sadly these people also generalize a lot. I guess this can be seen at a bigger scale in all of Europe nowadays.
@laminutederire: Except for hundreds of thousands of Jews who fled their home countries? And who can blame them? Or the Syrian refugees? If my family and me were eating grass in Aleppo because Assad's troops are sieging the city for weeks or my town is about to be overrun by psychopaths who threaten to cut off our heads or enslave my wife then, hell yes, I would try to get the fuck away. And I think there is no shame in doing that. There are by the way a substantial amount of Syrians who picked up the fight against the dictator AND the religious fanatics and see how well that has worked out so far.
Just to be clear, I'm not arguing for open borders for everyone regardless of origin and without registration and background-checks. And I'm concerned about integration, too. But the other extreme of taking NOBODY in is IMO ice cold, inhumane and I won't stand for it,

In my opinion, it's absolutely about religion and denying that is just trying to rationalize and trying to find logic arguments in a subject that doesn't respect your conventional rational rules... as religion doesn't.
I know far left people hate it when they hear this, but I mean, they literally scream "allahu akbar" when they kill others along with themselves, two thirds of muslims believe that the penalty for apostasy should be death and it's ok to rape or kill infidels, among other batshit crazy shit they believe and more importantly put into practice because it's in their sacred book. Islamic countries have completely different values and completely different culture than we do in the west. (We're slowly heading towards secularism, whereas islamic countries seem to be even more religious and conservative) so what we're living through now is purely a culture war and like Sam Harris eloquently puts, understanding and criticizing the doctrine of islam, and finding ways to inspire muslims to reform it, is one of the most important challenges the civilized world faces.
I agree that trying to rationalize everything by leaving religion completely out of the picture is the wrong thing to do but doing the extreme opposite thing by trying to blame everything on religion is just as wrong. When you look at the terrorist attacks in Northern Ireland which struck the region for several decades, you could, without digging deeper, file this under purely religious motivated conflicts between Catholics and Protestants. But the real reasons are societal, economical and political which have their origin many centuries before. I guess we would be better off without religions due their potential for tribal "us vs them" mentalities, to disguise sinister intentions and manipulate people. But it is too easy to say "IS exists because Muslims are crazy, therefore all Muslims are dangerous and need to be kept out or under surveillance". I'm not saying you are, but that's how some people seem to go about it.

I like the new facebook like feed, it's a great way to make sure you don't miss a single post! I've always been lazy to open every single thread we have going on here on mapcore, so thanks dude!!
I like the old "new content" feed better, but I'm adjusting. The thing that bothers me though is that there seems to be no way to jump to the newest unread post but instead it always takes me to the first page of the thread? Sounds like a small thing but it gets annoying when you have to do that 10 times in a session.

There is a talk by Jim Brown (Epic Games) where he also talks about interpreting heatmaps if I remember correctly: http://gdcvault.com/play/1020844/The-Importance-of-Everything-A

I started playing Destiny about the time when The Taken King was released. So it was mostly player-void levels with a lot of loading screens in between
In The Division, I really appreciate the seamless transitions and man, the environments in this game look amazing...Base-building and Dark Zones are cool. I can see myself really getting into this! -

The movie can be described as a fan-service to re-ignite the flame. There was nothing in that movie that made me go "fuck yeah that's awesome" or "wow I didn't see that coming" but there was also nothing that made me cringe.
Kylo Ren was a tad disappointing though (that's what Darth Vader said).
It's an entertaining movie and I'll have to see it at least one more time to catch all the details. I'm hoping that they will add more fresh elements to the next movies though.

If someone could add my skybox tutorial to the first page, that would be cool

I had my first date with a girl from the dating app today. Weirdest ever.
The girl added me on the app during lunch time and she starts the conversation. After 2 messages she asks for a meeting tonight. Obviously, I agree. So we met, the first thing she said to me was: "I broke up with my boyfriend one month ago". Ok, that gives you the atmosphere. The first impression I got was "OMG she's so empty". Then she talks about her bank job blablabla to the point that she talks about a job she could have had in Algeria. I said "cool, you could have a great weather". Here comes the big event, she says : "Oh no, i just can't. Oh yeah btw I forgot to tell you one thing, I'm racist." WTF "I can't stand muslims and arab people. My grand parents are like this, my parents too". I laughed so loud some of you may heared me, I thought about Luke' speech in the Star Wars 7 trailer. Weiiiirrddooooo. She switched on another subject and two minutes later she stands up and says :"well i'll be honest with you, You do not please me so i'm gonna leave now". AHAHAHAH So I stand up and say "Yeah ok, it's probably the best thing to do as I do have a black friend". She leaves without saying a word. That was the funny story of the day.
Did you have a date with Marion Le Pen?

That is being taken care of automatically by using the nav mesh. It makes sense to check this though because sometimes you have navigation data in places where it isn't needed and that is then redundant information on the mini-map.
