  1. I was going to say: After Boris Johnson's dropout I'm starting to believe I don't need to worry about the wait for the new GoT season. British politics will help me pass the time just fine...But this is reality and many people's lives will be affected by this mess. Disgusting.

That's the thing with politics saying even a little flag on your car is an example of nationalism.

    Here we go again...

EDIT: Regarding the upcoming matches, I am rooting for Poland, Wales, Germany and Iceland. Poland vs Portugal could end either way, but realistically, I believe that Belgium and France are going to win and the tournament records do not shine a good light on the prospects of Germany beating Italy...

Merkel is a twat, France has no economy and all the UK does is pour money into the EU where it gets pissed away. EU threatens the UK over leaving so what did they expect? You don't go and threaten one of the few countries holding the EU together and expect compliance, what a dumb move that was - the EU was already disliked enough as it was in the UK. Way to go you utter twats. Cameron also proving he is the worst PM this country has ever had. Chinless twat of a coward.

It is fascinating how different the public's perception of a situation can vary between countries that are merely a few hundred miles away from each other. Many people in the UK seem to believe that they had gotten a bad deal with the EU, even more, that the EU was bullying them. Ask me and I believe that the UK already had gotten granted quite a lot of extra wishes and the EU was in no way threatening or blackmailing the UK - quite the opposite. But I am happy that we can discuss the subject on an internet forum, instead of shooting each other in the head, you know, like our ancestors did.

That's why I am very disappointed that the British decided to give up on the EU just like that - instead of getting to work to fix it. Because I believe it's a very worthwhile project. But it's not much of a surprise that many voters failed to see this, having experienced and indulged in the many years long British tradition of railing against the EU.

Now the burden of proof is on the shoulders of the Leave-campaign leaders. My hope is that a) the leaders of the remaining EU countries will take the right learnings and actions from this to get people on board again and that b) the populists all over Europe lose credibility as the Brexit is either aborted or does not deliver the results that BoJo et al promised.

  4. I can relate to what's been said about the similarities to The Last Of Us. Curious to see where they are going with this gameplay-wise. XP for a "tracking" skill? Is this going to be open-world? Are they turning Kratos into Geralt and you'll have to hunt down mystical creatures?

  5. Glad to see the Ausländer support unsere Mannschaft this time around. Following the tradition of my people to be pessimistic and cynical in regards to our team's performance in the tournament, I would like to state that I don't expect them to make it far. If I'm right, I can say "I told you so" and if I'm not, well, I'll be pleasantly surprised. Looking forward to see dramatic performances by Pepe and the dreams of overly enthusiastic Englishmen getting crushed in the quarter finals. Bring it on!

  6. How does everybody like the maps? Any favourites? On most maps, no matter which path I take, I end up at the objective (as long as I go in that direction) - which is great. The only map where I got stuck and had to backtrack for a long time to get to where I wanted to go was Volskaya Industries.

If you want your map tested, make sure your map is packaged and ready. You also have to make sure you set the game mode in World Settings to UTTeamShowdownGame, it's almost at the bottom of the list. If you won't do this the map will play in whatever other gamemode you set it too, also make sure not to set it to UTShowdownGame, tha'ts the duel mode.

Are you certain this is absolutely mandatory or is this just a workaround to test the maps in Showdown on your server? Because last time I checked DM-Chill was not set to a specific gamemode and that one is obviously working in Showdown. I don't think I'll be able to change the world settings and re-package my map before tonight.

Yeah, get well soon @Steppenwolf and goog luck @FX with the job and house hunting. Yo @dux, are we going to see a pic of you with your fancy new hipster glasses :P

As I was getting ready for work today, I realized a great benefit of losing weight. Every kilo I lose, makes my dick look bigger :)

Which is especially beneficial when you work as an exotic dancer. Keep it up, mate!

Well everybody, by now you know what caused the delay for play-testing. We we're waiting for the new build to come out. This means you all have to recook your submissions. Please update your phase 1 submission post with a download link to your latest, recooked, build. We'll be sending Epic the list this Monday evening (22:00 GMT+1). Make sure you've updated your submission post by then. Everybody that fails to do so, or who has not yet included the disclaimer text, we'll not see his/her map on the Epic hub for play-testing.

As soon as the list is done, I'll inform you all on how we'll continue. In the mean time, keep building guys/girls!

PS: The above is purely optional. If you do not wish to have your map play-tested, then don't bother. This doesn't mean you're disqualified.

Could you please specify at what time exactly you are going to submit the list?

  10. I was expecting it to be more like a MOBA and it ended up being more like TF2. Cannot complain! Really good fun! I would have loved to try the competitive mode though. As it stands, friends of mine (and myself included) are skeptical about the longevity and somewhat on the fence whether to shell out 60 EUR for it. But regardless: great job to everyone who has been working on it! Love the maps!
