cyberjunkie got a reaction from Pampers in What have you read lately?
I've taken to reading over the past couple of years, and I haven't read as much, ever in my life, than I have over the past 3-4 months. I'm getting better at it, I'm better focused.
What I'm currently reading is Bad Blood: Secrets and Lies in a Silicon Valley Startup by John Carreyrou (link). It's about the startup, Theranos and all the madness that started from the power and money hungry CEO, Elizabeth Holmes and her partner, Ramesh (Sunny) Balwani. It's a scam, and it's built on hype, lies, intimidation and more. It's really something!
These are some of the other books I've read recently -
Quiet: The Power of Introverts in a World That Can't Stop Talking by Susan Cain (link) - a good read for introverts, for us to relate to, and for extroverts to introspect on
A Man Called Ove by Fredrik Backman (link) - Fictional book, a sad and funny tale about a loner with a big heart, who led a tough life and sticks to his moral code.
Stuff Matters: Exploring the Marvelous Materials That Shape Our Man-Made World by Mark Miodownik (link) - just takes a photographs and talks about interesting objects and matter they're made of. Really simplifies and makes science fun.
Here is my Goodreads handle. Do add!

This year is so much better than last, finally sold my broken car and leased a KIA Cee'd.
Beer, sunshine, dental plan, no more pain or anxiety. Oh , and i also stopped doing Snus, (nicotine shit you put under your lip, one snus has as much nicotine as 4 ciggarettes).
Went to a car wrapping course last two days also, so now im one of the best!

cyberjunkie got a reaction from -HP- in What about MapCore awards?
MrH2o was always the funniest, and the nicest guy. I had to find some threads about him. It feels like it was just yesterday. I remembered him yesterday and I was telling my wife about him. I can't forget those chocolate or meat balls that he used to make or his mom did. And his funny accent and the very serious question to most of us - Oh, you have a sister? Is she hot? Still miss Watah~

New interface is looking 2015 as fuck. FMV background, light/glowy sarif fonts, simplistic icons, all around dark theme, Microsoft style tiles...
Really though, I'm super pumped about the update. It might just get me back into Dota. Also source 2 oh my god i want it

Prepared the "dirt cheescake" dessert for my 1 year in Britain, friday. Looks quite like the stuff on Pinterest, unfortunately couldn't find jelly worms and we had to go for snakes and Freddo frogs (which i was expecting to be 3D).
anyway, put so much whipped cream in the mix that it was soft almost as a mousse, everybody enjoyed a lot even though I didn't use digestives for the base (which ended up to be crumbly and messy) and the Oreos on top got moist because it stayed too long in the fridge.

Yea, I'm not fond of the colour but who buys headphones for show anyway, right? Other than Beats users...

Just felt like I needed to share my newest creation. I'm pretty satisfied how this wallpaper turned out in the end.

cyberjunkie reacted to FMPONE in What I'm Working On
Created a few more areas, the map is probably 1/3ish complete right now (Mid complete, A complete, CT complete); which means T spawn, T links to A, T links to Mid, T links to B, B links to Mid, and B links to CT are needed. The bombsite and spawn will be time consuming, the rest won't. Ted has been creating some props as well, which helps.
See if you can spot some eastereggs. OK have a good one
