  1. Wow, Satisfactory has me hooked. There are too many things I want to be occupied in, and I keep jumping from one thing to another. In the midst of that noise, Satisfactory managed to grab my attention. It's just that urge to complete short objectives in the game, and trying to do it through manual labour, then finding the bottlenecks, and building systems to release that bottleneck. It's immersive especially because it's an FPS. I just wish it had usable controller support, so I could lie back and play it while listening to a podcast or an audiobook. It's a builder-planner game, but with the same chill-factor as Euro Truck Simulator 2. It's not even expensive!

  2. Severance is a pretty good show. I think the season ends soon, so you're not too late. Nice mood, nice theme and an interesting plot. The people working at this company, have chosen to completely isolate their memories when they step in and out of the workplace. So they don't know what they do at work, and at work, they don't know who they are at home.

OK, nevermind my introduction. Just watch it. I think it's pretty awesome.

  3. As @FMPONEsaid, The White Lotus is excellent!

Season 3 of the TV show, What we do in the shadows came out too, so that's a nice watch if you like that kind of funny.

Bad Genius is a nice Thai movie

Love on the Spectrum is a nice heartwarming, wholesome Netflix show of people on the autism spectrum, dating.

Succession Season 3 is nearly here, which I found to be damn funny and whacked.

  4. I've used the Logitech MX518 for more than 5-6 years, and the G502 now is about the same age. I stopped using the MX518 because I wanted a change. I got bored of the MX518. The two other mice I bought, broke or developed double-clicking issues in a year each.

I love how the G502 performs, but I'm developing that tingling sensation of wanting to use an alternative but a lighter wireless mouse, maybe the Logitech G304/305. Let's see.

  5. I finished watching Russian Doll last night. It was entertaining and unique in its own way. The style and theme is nice. It didn't end the season with a huge bang, but the whole experience and length of episode is just right. It ends every episode on a cliffhanger, but neatly.

I'm also watching Drive to Survive. It's nice and makes you want to follow F1 again.

  6. I have been watching The Umbrella Academy. It has its loopholes and it picks up ideas from movies and shows we've seen before. Having said that, I like the style, the acting and the production value. It's an effortless watch. It's active, colourful and funny all at the same time. I've been watching two episodes at a time and I'll be watching episode 6 next.

  7. Coming from PUBG, which is intense but also goes from being an Okayish-experience into an absolute mess every other update, this is such a welcomed change - to be able to get consistently smooth frame-rates, while looking hell of a lot better. You can play it without stressing as much as you might in PUBG or DOTA2. I get a few random crashes and you can't rejoin a session so that's a bummer. Fortnite felt too cartoony for my liking but this has a Borderlands-like vibe. The weapons are fun, managing items and picking up stuff is simpler too. Definitely playing this for a while!

Hope 4  people squads are a thing in the future, and maybe more maps.

I broke my wrist 6 weeks ago and had surgery, got 11 screws in that sucker. Which also mean that I've been off work for 6 weeks and it's been driving me crazy. Doing my final check-up on monday, hoping that it healed up nicely and that I can properly start my physio and get back into some sort of shape again.

X-rays in the spoiler in case anyone is too sensitive to that kinda stuff.

Oh and I'm trying to by an apartment. Not enjoyable to be honest.

Ow damn! Take care st0lve :(~

  9. The trailer does nothing for me. Tom Hardy is always intimidating, even in his 'human' avatar in this movie. This works for him in other movies, doesn't seem to fit this. The action looks predictable. The visuals work don't look 2018-enough and the humour is cringey.

  10. I've taken to reading over the past couple of years, and I haven't read as much, ever in my life, than I have over the past 3-4 months. I'm getting better at it, I'm better focused.

What I'm currently reading is Bad Blood: Secrets and Lies in a Silicon Valley Startup by John Carreyrou (link). It's about the startup, Theranos and all the madness that started from the power and money hungry CEO, Elizabeth Holmes and her partner, Ramesh (Sunny) Balwani. It's a scam, and it's built on hype, lies, intimidation and more. It's really something!

These are some of the other books I've read recently -
Quiet: The Power of Introverts in a World That Can't Stop Talking by Susan Cain (link) - a good read for introverts, for us to relate to, and for extroverts to introspect on

A Man Called Ove by Fredrik Backman (link) - Fictional book, a sad and funny tale about a loner with a big heart, who led a tough life and sticks to his moral code.

Stuff Matters: Exploring the Marvelous Materials That Shape Our Man-Made World by Mark Miodownik (link) - just takes a photographs  and talks about interesting objects and matter they're made of. Really simplifies and makes science fun.

Here is my Goodreads handle. Do add!

  11. I've been watching entire movies and TV shows uninterrupted with my wife, unlike my usual solo-self who simply lacked the attention span needed to watch them. I would watch a TV episiode, 20 minutes at a time. Here are some of the movies and shows I've watched.

    Black Panther - 5/10
Another cliched action movie from the same franchise, with the same cliched build-up, comeback and similar storylines. I just wish it were more gripping. The visuals were nice, the humour attempts poor. Definitely not worth the price for the first show ticket.

Jumanji: Welcome to the jungle - 6/10
Not nearly as impressive as the original but a watch with some big stars. The visuals are good. the humour is so-so and it could be just another action movie if it weren't for the Jumanji 'virtual world'. I mean, you really could take any action movie with 4 characters into the Jumanji outline  to have this movie. Just watch it as a late night, mindless watch with no brains involved. It's fun.

    Phantom Thread - 5/10
Really not my kind of movie. The artwork, styling is gorgeous and the mood  well created, but the pace is really slow. It was a drag watching.

    Get out - 10/10
Well-deserving award winner, a movie that builds up its thriller plot really well with great intensity for the first 60 minutes, broken up with bits of modern-day humour thrown in. Easy to relate, really gripping stuff and I couldn't stop watching this one. Really worth watching!

Wild Wild Country (TV series on Netflix) - 10/10
A real life tale of the religious cult from India that brainwashed a whole lot of people, and nearly took over a state in the US. It's done really well and first-hand interviews with people today makes it all the more exciting. Really shows you how religions start off with a naive, attractive agenda and turn dangerous really quickly.

  12. MrH2o was always the funniest, and the nicest guy. I had to find some threads about him. It feels like it was just yesterday. I remembered him yesterday and I was telling my wife about him. I can't forget those chocolate or meat balls that he used to make or his mom did. And his funny accent and the very serious question to most of us - Oh, you have a sister? Is she hot? Still miss Watah~
