  1. Given that they knocked it completely out of the park with XCOM Enemy Unknown (and did some really cool stuff with Enemy Within as well), then I'm definitely going to give them a lot of chances, and again then it is a tricky job to create a follow up to XCOM.

Hell, just look at Terror from the Deep, that was an attempt at keeping it within the roughly same fiction as the original but trying to mix it up, and it really didn't deliver in any way. Hopefully they can mix things up in a meaningful way and not be too weird or feel necessitated to change everything just to seem fresh.

  2. Now I get that I'm probably extremely hard to please when it comes to XCOM/UFO and I really wanna wait until they've actually shown it off properly, but as a first reaction then this direction looks really unappealing. I always loved the entire setup of you having to defend earth in a somewhat contemporary setting, and changing it for some covert ops future setting with the aliens having taken over earth is just so far away from that that it looks like a completely different game, tho I totally get the tricky situation of having to make a sequel to XCOM that doesn't just feel like a reskin (tho doing the same game again with more locations and procedural levels would be fine for me, lols)

Anyway, I'm an old idiot who is way too nostalgic about the original XCOM, so I should probably just calm down for now :)

Those screenshots really don't look too hot either, tho procedural levels sound nice :)

  3. Yup, Bethesda's press conference is definitely the one I'm most interested in. If (when!) they show Fallout 4, then it better also be with some gameplay instead of just some CGI trailer O_O

Anyway, I have a feeling that this is going to be a good E3, last years was probably one of the weakest ones to date, but it makes sense that this is the time in this generation for some larger 1st party titles to be revealed.

Also taking the Tuesday off so I can stay up all night and watch it all, gonna be great :D

  4. Was pretty amazing, definitely lived up to my expectations~~absolutely spectacular and crazy action

One thing tho, pretty weird that pretty much every line that Tom Hardy had after the intro was mumbled even though it was clearly dubbed, not that he had that many lines :)

  5. I'm sort of looking forward to this. Not even a big fan of AC but AC:U was just such an inspiring game for me as an environment artist. I must have spent 40-50 hours in the game just looking at things.

Hah same here, whenever I actually started playing missions my enjoyment would usually go down considerably tho, so I'd spend most of my time just looking for collectables :) The co-op was really good tho.

Curious about this one, I really like that games in these historic settings are being made with these kinds of production values, I just wish that the part where you actually play the game was enjoyable. Hopefully this one will be different :v

wonder what the specs will be compared to the one Valve is releasing late this year

And how they'll price it. From the sound of things then the Vive will be the highest end of them, with the OR and Morpheus being cheaper.

I still doubt I'll be an early adopter, but maybe if they have some convincing games/demos to show at E3 that'll change :)
