    Destiny

Really digging it so far, tho I do wish that everything was a bit more seamless/less compartmentalised.

    Doom (4)

Sounds pretty good to me, big budget old school shooter, or at least it sounds a whole lot better than what was leaked a few years ago.
  4. Finish that shit Ravage, THATS AN ORDER!!!
  5. Thank fuck that it didn't go into penalty shootouts. Really good match, pretty damn close.
  6. Thought that was a screenshot at first....in fact I'm still not sure that it isn't O_O Anyway, sweet ref images~

    The Last of Us

But those last shots are pre-rendered, at least I'm fairly certain they were on PS3. Still cool that they've tweaked and tuned those, and the other stuff does look better, it's the 1080p 60fps that seals the deal for me tho (plus there's nothing else coming out in July, lawl).

  10. Finally decided to get this since so many folks have been raving on about it. Pretty atrocious start to the game, but maaan does it pick up afterwards, really enjoying it now~~
  11. Just finished it, a very touching experience, did feel perhaps a notch too simple in the gameplay department, but at least it always kept moving and you never got stuck. Really happy I picked it up~

    Sunset Overdrive

Like what? Serious question. Also not claiming that Sony's line up is strong but there's a lot coming and so far, for me at least, nothing that's announced for the 180 interested me. Maybe I missed something. I'd say of good first party titles, PS4 has Infamous and Resogun. With Xbox One, though granted I haven't played these extensively since I don't own the console, then theres Forza 5, Dead Rising 3 and Titanfall (though that's not really a first party title as such, PC and that). For the rest of 2014 on PS4 then there's....Drive Club? Maybe? On Xbox One there's Sunset Overdrive, Forza Horizon 2, plus I could be persuaded into getting the Remastered Halo pack and play Halo 2 again. None of those are exactly system sellers, but if you judge the lineups solely on first party, then I'd say the Xbox One stands stronger for 2014. There's absolutely no doubt in my mind that the PS4 is the more worthwhile platform to have for first party titles further in the future, but right now they're pushing everything into 2015 and beyond. And besides, right now I'm really happy that I got the PS4 first, since the best stuff has been 3rd party, which always runs and looks better on PS4.

    Sunset Overdrive

You are aware that they've announced and released a cheaper Xbox One SKU without the Kinect, right? Did that nearly a month ago now. But yeah, with this and Forza Horizon 2 then I'm fairly certain that I'll end up getting an Xbox One in the later part of the year. So far I'd actually say that their released first party titles are much stronger than what Sony's been able to dish out.
  14. The Core takeover of CS:GO continues, excellent! Grats dudes~~
  15. Started playing it, just about an hour in. Not the most inspiring gameplay so far, but man it looks fantastic, plus for once I'm actually reading the history facts its throwing at you.
  16. I want to double like this!!!~
  17. Started watching Halt and Catch Fire. Wasn't entirely sold after the first episode, but I'm really liking this show more and more with each episode, now I've caught up and waiting for next week's episode It also has probably one of the coolest intros around
  18. Initially I really liked how they incentivize mixing the different skills together and using them all as attacks/upgrades/passives to get more backstory, but at one point it just started feeling a bit too messy for me when there were too many to choose from and I feel it made the combat less fun in the last 1/3 of the game. At least I think I would've enjoyed a lot more if I'd been less of a completionist and just stuck to the combos that I liked, rather than experimenting as much as I did. Also I kinda lost interest in the story as the game progressed. But yeah, I agree that their narrative style fell somewhat flat for me as well. Somewhat reminiscent of Bastion, but they delivered much better with Bastion's style of narration. Anyway, was okay, no way near as good as Bastion (not that you can really compare the two), tho they get big props for creating a pretty fresh style of turn-based/real time combat and with a really unique presentation.
  19. That is some seriously grown up shit right there, respect!
  20. Screw the haters, I think it looks great~

    Watch Dogs

Finally managed to drag myself through it. I respect what they've tried to do, and you can see that a lot of effort and hard work went into it, but it just didn't come together for me at all. If it wasn't for their fast travel mechanic then I'd never have finished it, the driving mechanics are so insanely bad that it boggles the mind that this was really the best they could ship with. If they were improving the driving mechanics with that dev extension that they got then I don't even wanna know what it used to be like. The player progression feel completely flat, and since you're able to unlock the important stuff within the first 2 hours, then it just stops feeling worthwhile to take on side missions, especially because they're mainly just the same copy/paste stuff over and over. Considering that a large hook for them was that this was an open world with depth, then it feels surprisingly empty and devoid of interesting content to explore. Really didn't care for the way they handle music either, where there's no radio stations and you have to go in and put together your own playlists with a clunky UI. It's fine they're trying something else, but the convinence of just having a radio station where you can just switch to whatever type of music you're in the mood for seems like a really clever idea after having played this for a couple of hours. The story is also makes no sense at all, and feels like they've stretched a paper thin plot to fill an entire 12 hour game, reeks of having been rewritten a hundred times. And then it just doesn't look particularly great most of the time, I'd say something like 6 year old GTA IV gives it a good run for it's money, and I'm playing this on a PS4. The water looks excellent tho Anyway, I hope they're able to craft a much more complete and interesting package with a sequel, because this pretty much disappointed across the board for me. TL;DR, meh, better luck next time.
  22. I'm not the biggest football fan either, but for the first time I've been watching a lot of the matches with this WC and it's been really good entertainment, loads of goals~~
  23. How Crytek has managed to stay in business for this long seems like something of a mystery to me. With so many subsidiaries and sales of boxed copies that, from where I'm sitting, only seem at best to be slightly above break even, then it seems pretty weird that they've been able to stay in business for this long. Sure there's also some engine licensing here and there and something like Warface that's started to gain some success, but I find it surprising that this can keep that entire company running.
  24. Watched World War Z, way better than I expected (but I also expected utter poop).

    GTA V

Aye, I've played through it twice on 360 already and I won't mind going through the SP again a third time a in a couple of months, at least when the visuals have been updated. And I'm one of the few people that love GTAO, put more time into GTAO than the SP, and close to a week in playing it....as in like 150+ hours, so having that progress carry over probably the most important bit for me.
