  2. Yeahse, still love it. Like others have already said then that's the benefit of having your hobby as your job, and you need that love for the craft to get through the really hard times (which in turn won't feel quite that hard). Granted that I'm trying my hand in more traditional game design these days. Though, since it's a small team, it also involves all kind of other shit (UI/UX work, managing localization, project managment as well as actually desigining and balancing games). I will say that I'm glad that I'm taking a break from what I've spent the last decade doing and trying to get outta my comfort zone, I think I chose the perfect time in my career to try something a bit different, get some new perspective on things and experience in different aspects of game development, hopefully that's shit that'll be handy as the industry keeps evolving. But I was feeling pretty burned out after finishing up on the last Hitman game, which was by far the toughest crunch I've experienced. But then I'd also gone from project to project for nearly 10 years without ever taking more time off than the obligatory summer vacation, and after a while then it does start feeling a bit unhealthy to never take some time to get properly away from it all. To continuously take care of yourself and prep yourself for the long haul (if you want to stay in games that is) is by far the biggest lesson I've learned the last year or so. But even now then I'm planning on getting back to level design again. For better or worse then it feels like I've been programmed to do that shit for life
  3. This is all very nice Minos but where's the Hurg store?

    Silent Hills

Incredibly well done in terms of atmosphere, I ended up losing patience with it after a while tho, took me a bit to figure out that you could zoom in with the right analog stick (was the last thing I tried clicking on the controller after being stuck), and that you actually needed to use that to trigger new shit, watched the rest on Youtube. It definitely did it's job tho, I've gone from being completely uninterested in a new Silent Hill game to be totally hyped.

    What's Next

Nailed it! ('ish) Guess this can be cool, I have as much zombie fatigue as everyone else, but if it's well done then I'll bite (hurhur)

    Playstation 4

Yeah, details seem a bit vague but from what I gathered it's huge open world game where you're able to play a lot of different species. Hopefully there's also a multiplayer component to it. I just love how different it is from what Michel Ancel has done so far, I mean, it doesn't look very French at all

Best things at Snoy's presser I wanna play as a fuckin wolf yo, lalse
  9. Yeah, even though COD is pretty fast paced as it is, then this looks like it'll speed up even more. But then they'll probably lose a lot and gain a lot of people by doing that. Personally then for the first time in years I'm kinda curious and interested in a COD game (beyond the fact that everyfuckingthing else is being pushed to 2015 and this being the only thing that's guaranteed to come out this year ). At the very least to check out all this new customisation stuff, and if it'll actually be balanced.
  10. It's pretty fucking sweet. Now Valve just needs to release a new game so I can be bothered to actually make anything with it
  11. One day there will be actual HL3 news in this thread, but no one will know since they've given up after all the troll posts lalsers

    DOTA 2

So can this be used for, you know, anything that's not DOTA2?
  13. Absolutely gorgeous Minos~~~fpfp I guess this goes a bit under the store front stuff as well, but getting some more building signs ala the Mapcore one in as well could make it pop even more. Oh and plants/tree? I guess that lone bush that's just sitting there is a test of some sort?
  14. Was great, good fun~~ Also...
  15. Got tickets for tomorrow, cant wait! Only heard good things about it.

    The Last of Us

Yup, you pretty much have to play the game on Hard the first time through. I really regret going through it on Normal the first time, was almost no point where I didn't feel like I had more than enough ammo and resources. On Hard you felt much more desperate, but not to the point where it was unbalanced. Still haven't tried it on Survivor or Grounded, but I figure those must be pretty crazy. Oh and Puddy, though the gameplay doesn't change super drastically as such, then it starts off amazingly with the prologue, but then takes dive for the next 2'ish hours, but when it finally gets going again then it pretty much doesn't let go. Anyway, saw the Last of Us Live thing yesterday, was way better than I expected and that PR bullshit must've worked because now I'm all ready to double dip (or triple dip?) and give it another go on the PS4.
  17. http://www.polygon.com/2014/7/30/5952159/crytek-uk-usa-homefront-deep-silver-hunt Apparently they've also more or less closed down Crytek USA, moved Hunt development to Frankfurt :C~
  18. Fuck man, I played sooo much Terrorist Hunt in Raven Shield. Loved going at it with only a handgun, dat shit was tight~
  19. Looks hella dope!~

    Destiny

...and after writing that, I read this: http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2014-07-28-bungie-reassures-fans-disappointed-that-destiny-only-has-one-playable-area-per-planet Hmmm, that doesn't seem like a whole lot of content at launch TBH :/

    Destiny

Yup, I just hope that there's going to be enough diverse weapons and equipment in the full game. Then again that's my only real concern with it after playing the Beta; whether it'll have enough interesting content to make it last longer than a week. I really hope there will be some more unique missions thrown in for some variation to the gather x number of items/hack terminal/kill thing missions that made out the Beta. Oh and I played the moon level in the weekend, was cool shit. I think they've had a tough time on the PR side in making this game feel really exciting when it comes to the gameplay, but after the Beta it's one of the games I'm looking most forward to in the second half of the year.
