  1. Was still a lot of potential in that place, it's really sad, but it hardly comes as a shock after their games the last few years. AFAIK Sims 4 was far and beyond the worst selling entry in the series, so that's probably in part what prompted this.

  2. Aye, looks incredible, that's pretty much the only reason why I wanna try it out. Kinda the same reason why I quite enjoyed AC:Unity, wasn't a particularly good game, but it looked so damn good that it actually made it a worthwhile experience for me.

  3. I have the exact same feeling with this as I do with the new Star Wars movie; it'll simply have to be able to stand on it's own, because just being an Alien movie isn't enough at this point (Alien is one of my favourite movies ever and I love Aliens, but this franchise is seriously tainted at this point).

The stuff he posted on Instagram a while back looked awful IMO. The idea of basically disowning Alien3 from the franchise could be interesting, but honestly then I'd much rather see a new cast and some new ideas for the franchise.

  4. I don't mind a short campaign if it's excellent while it lasts, but based on what I've seen so far then it looks like a gorgeous but average cover based shooter with very few tricks up it sleeve in terms of gameplay. Will wait for some reviews before I do anything :v

  5. It's quite funny (no, it really isn't), how they can't seem to understand what made Hitman games awesome. Stealth game turned to movie shouldn't be full-blown action with guns blazing on every scene.  :shake:

Yeah, but that's not the kind of audience that movies like these are made for. You could make a movie that really emphasised on the things that make the Hitman games cool, with him planning a hit, investigating the surroundings and executing it (and then the inevitable fuck up), could have kind of a heist movie vibe to it, have him take out a list of people. But sure, then it needs the 3 act structure, making him relatable and some love interest or else it wont sell I guess.

But I guess that if they actually tried to make the movies based on the appeal of the franchise then they probably wouldn't be able to get them financed.

  6. Been playing the entire evening with a bunch of friends and we're having a blast with this game. It's pretty damn intimidating at first (there's A LOT to learn and get into up front), but after a couple of rounds then we started getting the hang of it. We were 4 players for most of the evening tho, and whenever you're in a party (2 players or more) in regular online game then it'll never let you play the monster (cuz matchmaking), so we had to do a custom match instead to be able to mix it around like you want (took us a while to figure that out tho).

I still kinda doubt the longevity of it, but so far it's been one of the coolest MP/Co-op experiences I've had in a while (tho my hands just sweat uncontrollably when I play the monster ;_; )

  7. I donno, maybe I'm just not as big a fan of him as other people. I mean I like him in the context of Breaking Bad where he brought some humour when it might often be pretty dire and serious, though he was also a character that you generally felt a bit sorry for, but like I've said before then as a character from BB then it doesn't feel like a no-brainer to make a show about him either.

I guess my point is that just because it's a spinoff of BB then for me at least it still has to stand on it's own feet and earn it rather than just being full on fan service, though that said then nothing so far from the first episode indicates that it won't be able to do that.

  8. Saw the first episode of Better Call Saul, was okay, like most series then it'll probably take a few episodes before it really gets going. Still can't shake the feeling of it being a bit pointless tho, but I'm probably just afraid that it will in some strange way make me love Breaking Bad less.

  9. Playing Grim Fandango Remastered on PS4 and really loving it, it does remind me how well I remember everything in the beginning but then have forgotten a lot from there one. If you haven't tried it already (and like adventure games) then you have absolutely no reason not to try it, it's pretty damn awesome in almost every regard, and that's even with it being the LucasArts adventure game that I'm probably the least nostalgic about

Then I'm also playing Heroes of Might & Magic 3 on iPad, a port that I've been wanting pretty much since the iPad launched, even telling myself that I'd be totally fine with a straight on PC port.....and that's pretty much what they've done. It's down to the point where there's scroll bars and when you save games you can see the extension of the files, it honestly feels really sloppy and it's just the core game without any of the expansions. But anyway, it's HoMM3 on the iPad, I'm still pretty hooked on that :)

Then I'm also playing GTA Online on PS4 on a nearly daily basis with a group of friends, having lots of fun just goofing around while chatting a bit.

Really wanna check out Besiege after watching GiantBomb's quick look ( http://www.giantbomb.com/videos/unfinished-besiege-01-30-2015/2300-9895/ ) of it, looks brilliant even if it's still pretty early in development.
