Coming soon I promise!
Now the store's been up for a couple of weeks and most people seems to be happy with the delivery, quality, etc I'm going to create multi-currency versions of the store. This also has the side-bonus of potentially resulting in faster deliveries because, for example, they'll be dispatched from the US when using USD.
At the same time I'll be adding a whole bunch of design variations and requests, including the colour logo on black T-shirts, and the black & white logo on the other T-shirts.

-
Will work on that Sprony.

Regarding the fit, can't say for sure. I'll take some photos of me in my large one soon, but those who are in better shape might have more useful feedback on that, lol. My expectation is that because they're described as standard fit, they're not totally baggy but not slim-fit either. Just... normal.I know that American Apparel is generally quite slim-fitting, so if that is a priority those could be more suitable. I can add those options.
-
I'm not quite sure what you mean by fitted, there is some information here about how the measurements are taken, though — it recommends just physically measuring an existing T-shirt you like the size of, which seems sensible.
I should note that they're all B&C T-shirts. There's also the option of having American Apparel T-shirts, but that adds like £5 to the price so wasn't sure if many people would be interested. I can put them up when I add the extra products if anyone would prefer that brand.
Personally I just see a T-shirt as a T-shirt so don't know too much about all the differences between brands, lol.

-
I've just left the payment stuff to Spreadshirt, they're pretty big and presumably know what they're doing a lot better than me. I'm not sure what I'd actually do with Bitcoins if I had them, though...
-
Good suggestion. I think I'll create a two-tone version of each colour with and without text, that way people can choose which they prefer. I'll do that at the weekend or so when I re-add the products as I don't have any more time right now for doing more variations.

-
Lol of course, the store isn't going anywhere.

It looks like I have to re-create the store for it to be in Euros, so what I'll do is take down the products and re-add them. It'll probably to be during the weekend or next week I do that (any existing orders won't be affected). I should have done this in the first place though, so I'm happy to do it.
-
I've now added red T-shirts and logo-only versions of all T-shirts.
There might be a slight delay because of caching but they should appear soon. -
Yeah Sentura, I mentioned on the last page a few extra products I'll be adding, one of which will be T-shirts with just the logo. I could do polos and hoodies too, then the main wearables are taken care of I think.

-
I might be able to switch the currencies, I'll do it when I update the products.
Euros would make more sense. In terms of prices, the regular editions are literally the minimum prices and we make nothing off them, but if there is Mapcore merchandise in the world that's still a win.
Hopefully they're all OK, they seemed about on par with other vendors offering a similar level of quality (i.e. better than CafePress which I've had some bad experiences with). -
Also thanks so much for your patronage everyone, it's lovely to see the love and support. As I said on Facebook, now we need a gathering so we can all wear our T-shirts!
I'll be adding some new products within a few days which incorporate the most popular suggestions (red T-shirt, tilde T-shirt, logo-only T-shirt, baby clothing). We'd definitely like to get some of MapCore's lore into these products, so Hurg will be making an appearance before long!
-
I put this on Facebook but just in case anyone else is wondering about Skjalg's questions:
The colour customisation is just something the vendor offers, unfortunately the artwork can't be adjusted on a per-colour basis unless a standalone version is made (like we have for white, black, and red). Red is missing as a standalone version though, so I'll add that today using the appropriate artwork! I'll clean the shop up if I can to make it more clear.
As for the circle, that's a feature of the logo design I believe and is meant to be transparent (it certainly is in all the variations such as light-on-dark, two-tone, etc). Can always create a one-off special for you, though!
Regarding the small slogan, it SHOULD be a good size IRL because the design is printed pretty big.
That delivery fee surprises me Em, as these are made and shipped from the UK! I specifically chose it as it said EU delivery prices were low. That's pretty annoying, as I checked the delivery fees here:

Is this for all French addreses, can anyone verify? I can create region-specific stores with the same products if it avoids stupid shipping charges because those don't benefit anyone.

-
Maybe we need... a MURG.
-
Please note that if anyone has any concerns or problems with the ordering process, let me know. The current store is EU-based in order to suit where the majority of MapCore's traffic comes from, but if there are issues I can create a US-based store too — for example if shipping seems crazily expensive. This is all a WIP!

Make a forum thread about it asif, people who might be able to help are unlikely to be checking these comments.

If you make a statistic of the maps played around the world you will see that the most frequently played CS:GO custom maps aren't even in top 50 on the steam workshop, but still the people prefer them over yours or even the official ones.
I wonder why?! Maybe it's the gameplay, maybe it's about how the map's environment makes you feel during the gameplay, i don't know.
It's probably because many CS fans have always seemed to prefer playing on the same maps that were released 10–14 years ago ad infinitum. Sometimes when reading the 'feedback' on superbly-made CS maps I find myself wanting to slit my wrists.

Truly a beautiful map. It's work like this that inspires people to get into a certain kind of art, if I'd have seen this some years ago I'd likely never have gone down the road of UI and persisted with my Day of Defeat level design attempts.

Looks like PC Gamer approves too! http://www.pcgamer.c...-custom-maps/4/

I'm yet to play Assassin's Creed 3, think I need more time to recover from the previous games as I can't motivate myself to start it.
Looking forward to seeing how much they've evolved things technologically though. The difference between even AC2 and Revelations in the shot above is striking — the faces were pretty much just stiff-looking flat colour in AC2, whereas in Revelations they're pretty damn good by any standards. -
Assassin's Creed 2 is still one of my favourite games this generation, but it's always kind of been voodoo to me how it was all put together. It surprises me how much textures are repeated, I totally never noticed that while I was playing it.
They did a great job of covering it up.Also that minimum-LOD version of the woman is hilariously creepy. I'd be pretty much ****ing myself if I saw her come round the corner.

-
Very easy to be over-sensitive about feedback. I've gotten good at taking it after many years in the creative game, but I remember when I started I'd spend so long arguing and defending against people's criticisms of my work that I could have spent on making the work better instead.
Very important to take it gracefully and thank people for it too, then they're more likely to give it in future!

Glad it went well guys, saw there were like a dozen people in there.

Was approved on reddit at last, hope some guys over there enjoy it.
Thanks again for the splendid article Minos, that point about always moving on when you lose motivation is so valuable. Nothing can destroy your desire to work on hobby stuff more than getting too attached to a particular project, and in fact working on something else can easily give you fresh ideas for the original project.
