    Hi Mapcore! Im back! Okey, now i work with @Roald and @MadsenFK on Boulder like content artist. And i want to show my progress. It is screens from bldr_zoo There is still a lot of work ahead of me. But I'm happy to share this progress. I hope you enjoy my work as well as what my amazing partners are doing on this project.

  2. lol ideally we could release it as its own steam page (and maybe make a profit from it? *gasp*) but no discussions have been had, and frankly I wouldn't want to broach the subject until a lot of people across the entire half-life community have had the chance to play it and ask themselves if they even like it. I'm a big believer in proving stuff first. but I also want to share the word and let people know what we're doing (and that I'm really excited about it.) so, no news to report. only ongoing development

    A post mortem sounds like a real nice idea. but first we need to actually finish the map ? One thing we'd like to do is a video fly through spanning over all the versions from start to finish. As for teamwork: We synch our files with googledrive and use lots of instances within our main map file. This way we can work on different parts of the map at the same time. We communicate mostly through discord where we also keep our references. Our roles are somewhat like this: Waldo is doing art including modelling and texture work while I'm working on general geometry, layout and from time to time radar. But we tend to stray from this formula and switch it up from time to time.

  5. It's new! It's bright! I'm not sure my cubemaps are working! download link! [edit] also actually I'm not sure I mentioned this before but, like, all previous versions of this map are kind-of sort-of liable to crash frequently and without exception - but this one's not! I think! I guess my desktop's haunted or something? The maps it compiles always run fine on itself, but seem to break apart on any other device . . whoops? At any rate, this one was compiled on a different computer, and I haven't seen any issues with it as of yet.

    Hi folks. I've been slowly reworking the layout and remade bombsite A from the ground up to be more interesting game play wise. I'm planning to do another play test soon after I redo bombsite B. I updated the workshop map too. Give it a try and tell me what you think so far of the new A site.

My first properly UV mapped & exported model The texture's mostly just detail mask right now, I'm pretty happy w it though so I might just leave it as is [edit] Started experimenting re-using the bones I already made to construct other exhibits, I'd say it's working well so far - still need to make a decent pelvis template but this ground sloth's skull arguably turned out better than the whale's [edit2] got an okayish pelvis now & redid some other parts, split the textures so the skull is its own thing, so I can reuse the same bones texture across all further exhibits if/when I make them. Also, just about now realized whales don't have collarbones - 'learn something new every day every so often I suppose huh Not gonna lie that really feels like the kind of thing I should have already known but oh well there you go I guess
