    Working on some models and doing FAST mode mapping aswell, don't mind the de_nuke looking rooms, they are changing. All of these models have accurate collision meshes btw.

    So after tons of playtesting the final layout is here, its not much different but it plays better. (No the final version of the radar pic ofc) Most mapmakers suggest drawing a layout on paper or starting with it but I never personally liked it, Here I just made the areas I had in mind and then with help of playtesting it came together into a pretty solid layout (imho). So from the first look at the radar you might think that it is a clover layout, but the middle of the map connects straight to ct spawn instead of connectors to sites. Here is a simplified diagram of the layout: I call this the triple circle layout, it reminds of a cactus I once owned Heres the new layout of b site - basically added a single crate and shuffled about the ct spawn

    You dont really need much details on the ceiling. In fast paced games that are competitive all of the attention span goes towards crosshair level and below. Even in singleplayer games players tend to look below the crosshair level rather than above it. Cool technique with flipping the screen but it wont help much with game like counter strike. You won't have anything that is strong on the ceiling like rugs or props are on the ground. In my opinion this whole room lacks something dark at the bottom. A darker trim would help to bring the silhouette of the room, hence guiding the players.

The Ninja Outfit will be available on Jan. 16 at 7 p.m. ET until January 19 at 8 p.m. ET, as well as a few extras: Ninja’s Edge Back Bling, Ninja Style Emote, and a Dual Katanas Pickaxe. Neither Epic nor Ninja have said how much the items will cost." Well, I have to say that I'm pretty impressed with the level of engagement and promotion present around Fornite. I don't know if I've seen a game become so mainstream (aside from cod and minecraft, but I would argue they didn't reach this type of level) and feature so many cross promotions and leak into pop culture. The end of the season event was also something never seen before. On the other hand, you've got worn down devs trying to keep up with the next updates without end. I hope they at least adopt a more healthy life-work balance progressing into this new decade. It's gonna be interesting to see how other big companies try to replicate this success.

    You mean cause it's purple? I'd understand if it had scan lines and chromatic aberration how you'd see it as such. I just like how the colours look.

    It looks insane, but for some reason, those perfectly symmetrical cabels just hurt my eyes. But other than that... Good job!

    NEW SCREENSHOTS! Detailing the map is always the best part and as I go through this process I see how many things still need to be done. I'm busy this month and because of that, I won't be able to finish Classified before the deadline. I believe it will be ready between March and April for a Steam Workshop release! Good luck to all mappers who are still working on their projects. I will continue to post updates on this topic as the map gets ready! See ya!

    Been playing around with some forests in Unreal, did this during a afternoon a few weeks back, The vista is missing a secondary layer of high mountains, probably snow capped, Same world with different fog settings, not super happy with it, nor am I disappointed it will look better as a deciduous forest instead of conifer, Thought I'd post something since it's probably been a year or so since I did WIP

    Isn't the option you're looking for "U (unwrap menu) → Project from view", with the camera looking at the selected faces with the desired angle of projection ? Recorded a gif to show what I mean : https://i.imgur.com/GkhTSNX.mp4 Also btw, i'm following the excellent beginner tutorial BlenderGuru is currently making for Blender 2.8. I'm making a waffle, it's really nice to follow (Still missing materials and the rest of the scene basically )

    Learning Blender in my spare time. Really cool piece of software with a bunch of weird quirks. Still, gonna hopefully make all my personal stuff in Blender from now on.
