Thought I might break out in to my own thread for my Bruges map. Everything is up in the air at the moment, I am using existing assets for everything at the moment. Once I am happy with the layout I will start adding in my own assets. I have started to work on some low poly models for background buildings: and just a couple of general shots:

I remember loving the Hell out of this back in the day, playing it around this girl's house who I fancied like mad, didn't happen sadly but the game was awesome all the same. I've got an image dump of all the backgrounds from the Resident Evil games including the remake and 0, really inspirational for level design...

I always had this photo in my references for Bruges. It's so goddamn pretty that I wanted to recreate it someday! Thought I'd share it. Maybe it can be of some use if you didn't see it yet.

you definitely need some vines in there, a lot of them . There's a lot of green in there. Also, don't make it rainy and depressing! Bruges looks best in spring with lots of color imo!

I've been playing Bayonneta 2 for 25 minutes. I've already kicked a jet off course, surfed it fighting horse angels, had my partner ride sideways up a building to deliver me blue guns, fought an angel snake, had a fan service fight with Jeanne on a train, grown wings to fight a renegade hair demon wrapped around a skyscraper, and then eaten him with a hair spider. I think I will like this game.

I've initiated my girlfriend to The Walking Dead. We'll see if it will last.

So here goes, i've finally got a job at krysalide studios in France ! Everyone in the studio seem very friendly and the job is pretty cool. Don't know for how much time my contract will last, but i'm pretty happy about it !

I bought a car that I'm in the process of modifying up. It's basically a distraction for me from other things that I don't want to focus on. And just to get away and relax. I always feel better after spending time with it. What I've found out about myself recently is I crave structure and stability. Weekends are actually my worst days now, I use them to relax but then I feel as if I've never got anything done. But if I didn't take them to mong out I'd just collapse on my face. The UE4 Challenge has been another nice distraction that I tend to do a bit of in the evenings to feel satisfied with myself. What I find myself doing at 27: - Drink with friends on some evenings or on every other weekend to catchup and talk. I don't get wasted like I used to. Just "merry". Happy and chatty, not passed out on the floor. - Always put at least 25% of my pay cheque into savings. Always try and spend wisely. - Only keep people in your social circles who benefit you, not put a drain on you. - Weekdays with work I'm always focused on my tasks but do it in a manner that I won't stress or overwhelm myself with. Took a while to learn this. - Find things that make you happy and allow you to take your mind off of stuff so you can come back refreshed. For me, as mentioned, is my car, games, books, music, tea, food, just going out for a walk and enjoying the scenery and world around me. Anything! - Eat well. A good diet does wonders for your mentality and of course; body. Cooking for yourself is an immense benefit and rewarding as well.
