  8. Seems like Blizzard wants to gauge f2p with a virtual collectible card game: http://us.battle.net/hearthstone/en/ All those studios working on 'Rage of Bahamut' clones are probably shitting themselves now.

    What are you playing now?

God damn, you're absolutely right, having played and finished the game, that trailer is 100 times better! I really wanna replay this. I remember a side quest from the Old hag, i was supposed to poison the water on the distilary or whatever of this gang, later on in the game the leader of the gang actually helps me and everyone is still alive. I really wonder what would happen if I had poisoned them! Oo PS. There's a DLC being released soon!

    What are you playing now?

So, Dishonored. SHIEEEEET that was a good game! I really got into the story and characters of that, excellent writing and the climax was downright cinematic — despite never taking control away from you. Shows how great games can be when the developers don't wrestle control away from the player during the coolest moments. And the art... o my gad, the art. This trailer is now much cooler after having finished the game:

  12. Locking the 1999 mode is seriously retarded though. I don't want to finish the game once to unlock it, I want to play in that mode right away and get my ass kicked. This completely defeats the purpose.

    Splinter Cell: Blacklist

Looks absolutely splendid. The ghost walkthrough is very Metal Gear Solid: making a whistle to attract enemies, having a robot to send around to scout the area and do takedowns, and just the general approach. This is great as I need a serious stealth game to satisfy my urges and MGS is still kind of the king in that respect.

  17. I grew tired of the old design of my portfolio so I worked a bit on a new one in my lunch breaks: http://www.clement-melendez.com I need to redo all the descriptions and text in general, as well as take better screenshots of all my projects, and I also plan on showing a bit more behind-the-scenes stuff here and there (2D layouts etc.) The goal is to try and fit everything on one page and still have it clean and readable Let me know what you think so far!

  23. Drop that crappy intel and get yourself an FX 8350 Black. It's newer, it's better and it's cheaper and it loves eating everything you put infront of it. Here's my recommended build for you. CPU FX8350: http://www.amazon.co...63821071&sr=1-1 Motherboard: http://www.amazon.co..._cp_computers_0 OCZ Vertex 4 SSD: http://www.amazon.co...63821409&sr=1-1 I'm using amazon here just because. Can shop around. Keep that 3TB seagate and just install windows and all your immediate programs onto the SSD. The ram and gfx card are fine.

  24. Don't agree with cyberjunkie, 3.5mm jack can only buffer stereo signal, you have a 5.1 surround setup that you paid for and it would be a waste to not use it, specially since nowadays a good movie or a good game must be experienced in surround to get the most out of the experience. What you really need, is a receiver. I thought these things were a waste of money before, but what they provide more than justifies the investmenent. They allow you to connect various game consoles, PC, Bluray player, etc, etc to the same hub, and it decodes surround sound, so if you connect your PC to a receiver via HDMI (like I'm doing) the receiver will decompile the the audio signal, leaving the PC alone, that is such a nice plus specially for games. http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss_1?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=receiver+5.1

  26. So after I finished Call of Pripyat I went to finish Shadow of Chernobyl once again. Have I ever told you how amazing this game is? No? This game is amazing. It has to be one of the most atmospheric games ever released, only beaten by the likes of Thief and Arx Fatalis in my eyes, but not very far from them either. One of the best parts of the game has to be the Chernobyl nuclear power plant and the following sarcophagus, the very place you've been after the whole game. The atmosphere there is completely nuts and hopeless, you are stuck in a dead, radioactive concrete sepulcher struggling for survival while fighting both the deadly radiations and the equally deadly soldiers defending what may or may not lie in the infamous Reactor #4. Off to Clear Sky now.
