Shokunin
Hello everyone, I am a professional designer just about ready to release a free custom mod I've been working on for over 2 years! This mod has custom maps, models, destructibles, code, shaders, and more that I need beta testers for. I'm looking for 8 volunteers, ideally senior members of this community, to help screen for final bugs & feedback. What is Transmissions : Element 120? A short single player experience set in the Half-Life Universe featuring a unique gravity defying weapon that allows you to jump buildings and sustain large falls. The story takes place at a mysterious date & location after the events of Half-Life : Episode 2. Where are you? Why have you been sent? To help bring the Source Engine up to date several new features are included: Enhanced dynamic lighting Integrated Source Shader Editor 0.5 for enhanced post processing & lighting Improved support for complex physics structure Support for super massive physics objects Improved AI and group behavior on multiple AI types Below are the first public screenshots of the game and mapcore is first to have them: Minimum Requirements Processor: Pentium 4 - 3.0 GHz, or AMD equivalent RAM: 1GB (1024 MB) Graphics Card: Shader Model 2.0 capable, ATI 9600, NVidia 6600 or better 725MB of free HD space My machine is 2 years old and the game runs great. Source SDK Base 2007 must be installed for the mod. What will volunteers do? Play through the game which takes anywhere from 0.5-1 hours to complete. Report any game blocking bugs or severe visual glitches. Fill out a short questionnaire when you're done. Install & Instructions To play download either e120.zip or Setup_TE120.exe from the link below: http://1drv.ms/1OyARWi Install instructions located on this page along with the question sheet. http://www.transmissions-element120.com/ [UPDATE] Changed OP to reflect beta is now open to mapcore Edited March 26, 2015 by Shokunin ESToomere, ShockaPop, Xanthi and 14 others
unremarkable player
Looks very nice so far, well done! Hope it goes well for you, best of luck I'd volunteer but I'm new in this community. You'll have no problem finding volunteers
Andre Valera
Are you kidding me!? Sign me up. Also @ unremarkable player ; being new is a great reason to start being active in the community and be a part of things like this.

Ammy
I'm no professional gamer, but I can volunteer. I have a pretty good PC so I should be able to run it great.

blackdog
I'm up for it, just recently I have been trying some HL2 add-ons I couldn't try in the past years. Dunno if it's worth mentioning, I've done the main bulk of qa for Riot Act and I usually explore every corner of spank maps. Di you need just the stand, classic demo recorded from console, or you mean an already encoded video? (fraps and the likes) Edited March 3, 2015 by blackdog

leplubodeslapin
I'd be glad to be able to beta-test your mod, i'd really like to know what this core gameplay element is, ingame. I'm used to playtest singleplayer hl2 mod, thanks to "Wilson Chronicles" (a singleplayer hl2 mod, in the environment of hl1), no problem for recording the whole experience. But i'm not a senior of Mapcore and I've never made a SinglePlayer map, yet. But HL2:EP2 is my ultimate favorite game ! ^^
FRAG
Mind If I sign up? I'm really interested by your OP and would love to provide feedback in anyway that I can!
Shokunin
Thanks for signing up everyone! I've got 8 volunteers who I've sent PM's too. If anyone is still interested it would be nice to have a couple more in case things fall through for anyone. As I said before, I prefer senior members of this community but I'll take what I can get.
